Keeping Your Storage Unit Secure Matters—to You and to Us

We know that you’re trusting us when you choose to store your belongings at our facilities, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Secure Self Storage

Do I need my own lock?

We require a lock on your unit. For your convenience, you can purchase a lock directly from our locations. The locks are designed to work perfectly with our units, and it saves you the hassle of finding and buying one prior to moving in.

What type of lock do I need?

Most of our units are best locked with a disc lock, available for purchase at our facilities. While other lock types do work, the design of the disc lock helps deter someone from cutting it.

Do you have video cameras?

We do include self storage security cameras as part of our facility amenities at most of our locations.

Who will have access to my unit?

Per our lease requirements, only the lease holder and any authorized users on the lease may have access to your storage unit.

What is keypad entry?

Most of our facilities are encircled by a fence. To gain access to the storage buildings, users must pass through an access gate fitted with a keypad. Other facilities are buildings that have keypad access to enter the storage area. Our customers are issued a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) to gain access to the facility.

How safe are the units?

Rest assured knowing that your storage unit is well lit, fenced, and video monitored.

I lost my key, what do I do?

If you lost the key to your unit, please stop by the facility's office during business hours so the location manager can help you regain access to your unit. We don't keep a copy of your key, so we may have to cut the lock. In that case, you'll need a replacement.

What if I Lose My Electronic Keycard?

If you loose your electronic keycard, please stop by your facility to be issued a new one to gain access to the building.

Gate Access

How do I enter my gate code?

Follow the instructions on the keypad to enter your gate code. For most of our gates, you will enter your unit number then pound followed by your four digit code then enter *.

If you have any issues accessing your unit, please contact your facility manager.

I got an error code at the gate. What does it mean?

A "timed out" error happens when gate access hours are closed.

The "access denied" message happens when there is an overdue balance.

If you have any issues accessing your storage unit, please contact your facility manager or contact our 24/7 customer service department.

Why won't my gate code let me out?

You must enter your gate code before entering the facility; you can't follow another person in. If you don't register going in, the code will not work coming out.

Do you offer 24/7 access?

Many of our facilities have 24-hour access available by request; please contact your facility manager.

Can I change my password or gate code?

Please contact your facility manager to change your password or gate code.
