HOW DO I PAY MY BILL?
Online, over the phone, or in person. Pay your bill with ease via our StorageMart self service portal online, with our friendly customer service team, or with your local facility manager. If you want to make it really easy on yourself, we always recommend enrolling in autopay, so you can stay on top of your bill without even having to think about it.
WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?
In the United States, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. In Canada, we accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. In United Kingdom, we accept Mastercard and Visa.
HOW DO I MANAGE MY PAYMENT METHODS?
Use the self-service portal. To do this, log in to your account, then go to Settings then My Payment Methods to manage payment sources. This is a great time to take advantage of autopay enrollment to ensure you never miss a payment without even having to think about it.
CAN I DO AUTOPAY?
Yes. You can set up auto payments online or in person. To use the online self service portal, just log in, then go to My Units to manage your autopay options right from your favorite smart device. If the internet isn’tyour thing, our onsite storage pros are more than happy to help you set up auto pay during business hours.
CAN I PAY MY BILL ONLINE?
Yes. Paying your bill online is very easy. All you need to do is log in to My Account, scroll to Payment, drop down to Add or select a payment method. Click Payment Amount, choose Balance Due or Upcoming to pay in advance. Click Pay Now to submit.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I HAVE TO GIVE TO MOVE OUT?
15 calendar days is the standard. For example, if you plan to move out on the 31st of the month, please give notice by the 16th of that month. You can give notice before 15 days if you know ahead of time that you’ll be moving out, but we do ask that you do not give fewer than 15 days, so we can prepare the unit for the next tenant in line.
HOW OFTEN WILL MY RATE INCREASE?
From time to time, there may be an adjustment to your rent. Rates are largely determined by operational costs, based on factors such as location, amenities, and security features. At StorageMart, we strive to provide the best facilities in the industry while keeping our rates competitive and in line with our best-in-class standards.
WHEN IS MY RENT DUE?
The first of the month. Every lease restarts on the first day of the month, which is why we ask for a 15-day notice before you move out, so that we can ensure your account will be properly charged and closed out on time.
WHAT IF THE FIRST IS ON A WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY AND THE OFFICE IS CLOSED?
Rent is always due on the first of the month, regardless of holidays or weekends. You can always pay online or over the phone any time or in the office prior to the first of the month. To make it even easier on yourself, you can enroll in autopay and never have to worry about late payments again.
WHEN IS THE FIRST PAYMENT DUE?
Before moving in. We will make sure you have completed all of your lease steps before move-in, so there are no surprises. You can pay online ahead of time when you set up your lease, or in person on move-in day. If you have any questions about the move-in process, your location manager or our 24/7 customer care team will happily assist you.
Late Payment
CAN I MAKE A PARTIAL PAYMENT?
No, we do not accept partial payments under any circumstances. Our onsite managers can help you choose a unit that will work for your budget, and even give you tips on how to make the most out of the square footage you have to work with. If you are concerned about making your full payment on time, contact the manager as early as possible.
IS THERE A GRACE PERIOD?
No, there is no grace period for rent. There are also no surprises. Rent is always due on the 1st of every month, and there are no hidden fees waiting to ruin your budget. The best way to keep your account in good standing is to enroll in autopay, so you never miss a payment. If you do have an issue, let your manager know as early as possible.
WHAT IF I CAN'T PAY MY BILL?
Contact your facility manager as soon as possible for the best possible outcome. While we do not offer grace periods or partial payments, we do want to help you avoid certain scenarios. The only way we can do this, is if we know early enough to help you make a plan, so please let your manager know immediately if you can’t pay your bill.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY RENT IS LATE?
Late fees will apply if you make a late payment. Your lease will include specifics on late fees, so you know before you sign what these look like at your facility. To avoid late payments and take one more task off your monthly to-do list, enroll in autopay and never miss a payment again.
CAN MY THINGS BE AUCTIONED?
Yes, but an auction is always the last resort. We make every reasonable effort to resolve your balance before an auction is scheduled. You will be sent multiple notices according to local lien laws in an attempt tosettle your account. Please stay in close contact with your facility manager if you fall behind.
HOW DO I FIND LOCAL STORAGE AUCTIONS?
Storage auctions are advertised publicly per local jurisdiction. Please know that not all publications, whether online or in print, have the most accurate information on auctions, as they may be scheduled and rescheduled as needed/ per local laws. Contact specific facilities for dates and times of auctions.
